I have been in the business since 2004 and am a full time Realtor. I do a decent amount of short sales and have decided since they will be a large part of our business for awhile I should educate and inform myself. I am always looking for ways to improve my ability to close a short sale and other sale for that matter.

I've been working on one with Wells Fargo since May of 2010. We've had multiple offers - 4 that have been presented - 1 fell apart due to the appraisal. Offer was $130k originally - Wells Fargo insisted they needed $146k - buyer increased offer and it didn't appraise - Wells Fargo wouldn't reduce price, buyer walked. The offer prior to the one we have now was at $107k - Wells came back at $117k - buyer came up a little, Wells wouldn't come down lower than a net of $117k. During this negotiation we had another cash buyer come along so that by the time the original buyer terminated, we had presented this HIGHER offer to Wells that netted MORE than their approved net out of $117k. That was the first week of May this year.....we finally just heard from the negotiator (after being forced to use Equator where they lost our offer twice) and now are saying they need a sales price of $145. We are beyond frustrated with the inconsistencies and constant moving target. Any contacts or tips to try from here????
