Need help...Just told today by WF negotiator that my sellers do not qualify due to surplus of funds. I asked for details and all that she could tell me was because of according to HUD guidelines they have surplus $8000. I have been working on this for more than a year. The homeowner has relocated to different country, her mother had a heart attack. they both had lost their jobs. The husband now has a job near the sick parent. She wants greater expenses per month but will not give me details about the "$8000" They have contracts since September and it took this long to let us know there are surplus funds? $8000 will not carry the property more than two months. She told me she was closing the file in Equator and that was all she could do. Any suggestions?
6000 files stuck in Modification!?... Had a EQ submitted SS file that was countered by the investor - buyer walked. We then found new buyer at previously approved price, reopened file in EQ. WF then says file is in Modification shuts us down in EQ(not what "we" want). I've called almost daily for 40days, Borrower has called multiple time as well to have it simply removed from mod back to SS. WF rep tells me they have 6000 of these type files with an additional 35+ new ones piling up on his desk per day. Something to do with new Consumer Protection law. Anyone with any advice? We have escalated multiple times. Foreclosure is still ongoing, offer meets investor requirements? Are we still in America or is there a bigger game going on?
