The seller is a veteran. I have been working on this file for about 8 months and have gotten no where.
PNC Bank ordered a VA appraisal on the property which came in a ridiculously high number. I could not find a buyer for the property for the longest time. I tried to submit a value dispute but the negotiator said that I had to wait the 6 months when the VA appraisal would expire. Within that 6 months, the house went to foreclosure. The law in Michigan states that the owner has 6 months after the sale date to sell the house. So once the VA appraisal expired, I requested a new one be ordered. PNC bank told me 2 weeks late that the investor would not do a short sale in the redemption period! AHHH!!!!
They screwed me! I have even contacted the VA Department branch and they told me there is nothing I can do.
What my question is, could I still sell the property on a sheriff's deed? Sell the property exactly for the price the bank bought it back for? Would this make the situation worse? Better? Nothing will be different?
