SItuation is: homeowner's bankruptcy has been discharged including both a Chase 1st and Beneficial 2nd. Chase has approved a short sale (traditional) with $20k incentive to seller and $3k going to Beneficial. Chase will allow seller to use part of his incentive to meet Beneficial's demand. Problem is the Beneficial debt is being handled by a debt collector attorney who has been acessible, but not effective. Although the debt has been discharged, he has to get Beneficial's approval to accept the $3k and release the lien. HE says he only has email access and after 3 weeks no one has responded to him. He says he doesn't have a phone number. I have been trying to get something done through HSBC recovery department, who said short sale department, and today no one knows. ANy ideas? Thank you!
