Just a comment...BSI has stated that they are not a HAFA participant, which could affect your short sale if the 1st lien holder is reviewing for HAFA.  If a junior lien holder is not a HAFA participant, the file will not be reviewed as a HAFA short sale, but as a traditional short sale.  If someone else has different information on this, please let me know.  As far as negotiating with them..keep pushing to reduce their full payoff amount...they are not impossible to deal with.
