Good morning.  I have a short sale with a BB&T HELOC, and the borrower received a notice that BB&T had charged off the HELOC and that they will be pursuing collection of the remaining balance.  They have sent a lien release to the courthouse (although it is not recorded yet). We  had previously had short sale approval through November 24, 2015 where BB&T would accept $8500 - but the buyer walked from the contract after the home inspection.  According to the letter, they charged off the loan 11/23/15.  Any thoughts or guidance would be helpful, as the borrower does not have the funds to pay this back

Does anyone have a supervisor name/number?  I submitted paperwork over a month ago and continue to call to check and they just confirm the receipt of the paperwork and will not advise who the assigned agent is.  Have also tried through customer service.  Any information would be appreciated!!  Thanks to all!

Thanks Chad, I was hoping to at least get the BPO/Appraisal out of the way to get some guidance on what Freddie wants to net but I guess not.

Mo, yes it is true. BB&T requires an offer because of Freddie Mac. Freddie will not allow a servicer to initiate without an offer. Usually BB&T will accept homeowner docs, but cannot proceed until an offer is made. Chad.

BB&T is telling me that they can't initiate my short sale without an offer in place. Is this true? The loan is Freddie Mac not VA. Thanks for any help.

Does anyone have any escalation information for a BB&T HELOC? I have been told that my only contact there can be the negotiator. I have tried unsuccessfully to reach her after 4 attempts, each phone contact followed up by an email.

Starting a BB&T VA Compromise Sale today for a Crestview Florida home. One of my favorite lenders to work with.

A first - I've been asked for one YEAR bank statements on a BB&T short sale valued at around $25,000...

Just got my BB&T VA Compromise Sale approved in 40 days in Crestview Florida!  They are paying the VA seller relocation incentive, too.

BB&T is assigning VA Compromise files about 2 months after receipt of documents, per my conversation with them today.
