Yay! Any closed short sale is a good one. For your education, as you read this forum, my experiences with Bayview were closer to old school B of A timelines and non-responsiveness.
Be prepared, as of this date (maybe in the future, it will change) it seems Bayview is understaffed, one or two negotiators, one or two closers. They do not return phone calls or emails unless you continuously are contacting them. I finally got some responses after three days of daily calls and emails.
They are very nice, and "doing the best they can" but don't seem to get that anxious buyers and sellers are on the line and just a short mail to update us agents can go a long way. When they want you though, they will call. They needed a fresh HUD from me, sent an email, I sent the HUD and the negotiator did write back right away, confirming reciept.
During my time with them, they seemed to be pushing the cash deals through quicker--mine was cash. And when the home inspection showed mass pest problems, they did re-issue the approval letter at a lower sale price within 2 weeks of requesting it. Our BPO supported the new, lower price, so not sure what would have happened had the BPO been more than our new price.
Get ready to do a lot of following up. Sometimes the customer service people were more helpful than the negotiators and became better contacts.
Hope this helps along the way.
