Short sale reverted back to BofA

I put an offer in on a short sale with a auction date of 5.25.10. The listing agent was a very competent agent but still wasn't able to postpone the auction date. It was not sold on the courthouse steps and reverted back to the lender. Has anyone had success in trying to buy it directly from the lender before it get relisted as an REO?

Sorry to hear that, had it happen recently to me too, but it went right to reo agent in 2 days. Lets see what folks say.

Same thing happened some time back, but no luck: had to wait till it was listed with an REO agent....

Thanks for responding! I have hit a brickwall with the bank so we will just have to wait until it hits the market again.
