Aurora is great to work with. Its one of those banks were they will talk about their net, their bottom line. And they are very reasonable as far as second liens allowances go. They wont kill a deal for a "guideline". If you can show they they will net more as a short sale vs. foreclosure you can get an approval. Also, they don;t release your negotiators name so that you don't contact them so most of the time you are having to wait 60 days until you can escalate the file. They are super quick about assigning an underwriter or negotiator to the account. Over all I like working with Aurora.

Aurora is actually not bad for agents. Its horrible if you are an investor looking to negotiate a killer short sale deal. They want value, not a discount on value like most banks will approve. But no drama. I have done 3 with Aurora and working 2 now, same owner and when I call once, I do both properties.

Hi, I am in the process of negotiating a short with these folks. No major insights other than what I suspect most of you already know ... be persistent and if it seems like the person you are speaking with doesn't know what they are doing .... it's probably because they don't. After a bit of back and forth I was able to determine what they would like Net to Seller be .... at first they wanted $40,000 more than current offer now we're just $4,000 off, so ... gonna look for a better offer and .... we'll see!

Good morning,

This is not a short sale question.

I have a buyer who wants to submit an offer for a home that the lender got back a few weeks ago in a foreclosure auction. The property is not listed. My REO information for Aurora is sadly out of date -- none of the numbers I have are in service. Can anyone give me a phone number or a fax number where I can send this offer?

Thanks a bunch,

Word on the street is that Aurora is sending letters out to those with Aurora junior liens, offering deals to pay mortgages in full for lesser amount than balance. I have received emails from borrowers thinking this was a scam. According to Aurora, it is true.

Has worked with aurora in the past last year, they were willing to cooperate then.. They did seem to move rather quickly compared to most .

New message on Aurora Short Sale line is "Allow 8 weeks for processing all paperwork was received Sept 1. Our representatives have no more information" There is still an option to speak with a rep but they are trying to reduce these calls. SInce I know the BPO is in process, I'll let it slide "this time"
