Hello everyone,
I am seeking some advice on a short sale I am purchasing. I put my offer in back in November and it was accepted. It took a few months to resolve judgments and the sellers side said short sale has verbal approval back in May. I have a loan commitment and can close within 2 days of receiving a short sale approval letter, but other side keeps telling me they are waiting on the letter. 2 weeks ago they said Wells approved the sale, but are waiting on Fannie Mae approval. The short sale is due to the death of the primary earner, does Fannie need to approve? I need to vacate my rental by the end of the week and I don't see any end in sight. What can I request from the other side to prove this deal is moving forward? I may be able to stay in my current place for an additional month, but I am at my wits end. Any help or advice would be great.
