USDA short sale serviced by Chase Bank

I just listed a short sale that has been listed before and I have been told that a short sale was denied because the house is vacant. The house is in good condition. It is a USDA RD loan serviced by Chase. Have you heard of any recent changes to the USDA short sale program? or any recent successes?? Someone else mentioned that they were told that USDA is no longer considering short sales???? Has anyone else heard of this??

USDA still does short sales to my understanding. I'd call USDA and see if they can make an exception on the occupancy issue. Does the homeowner live close to the subject property by chance?

He lives 16 miles. If it was 20 miles, they would approve.
