I've already got one post regarding this property.
But I had a question- The house we are hoping to purchase has been sitting for 2 years at least according to the papers we found stating it had been winterized.
Its still considered a shortsale and not a foreclosure- its a FHA Bank of America shortsale recently (after we made our offer and signed the papers they asked us to) transferred to Selene Bank-
Why would the house sit for 2 years- property taxes still show person who left it in complete dismay with lots of personal belongings behind trashed-name on record.
Can the new servicer decide to not shortsale it but let it go back to HUD? Being it was an FHA loan?
I have read the horror stories- seems like they would want to wash their hands of it being that its a liability stairs were not built to code and are dangerous-if someone viewing the home was to fall could they not sue the current holder?
Again always appreciate any and all info on this- our realtor and theirs is not familiar with this or either just doesn't seem aggressive enough to get the information-

We were told today that the listing realtor spoke to Selene and they asked for our paperwork to be submitted to them.....48/72hr turn around......fingers crossed
Why can't you get them to contact the servicer? Are you stating the listing agent isn't doing their job? Have you thought about asking the listing agent to get a 3rd party negotiator involved for assistance?
