Hello SSS peeps,
I have a family member with a property in Gilbert that he's likely to initiate a short on here shortly. I'm not licensed there or I'd help him directly. He met with an attorney recommended by his potential listing agent, and, well, I'd like to refer him to someone else (really, if you spend an hour talking to a client about doing a short sale, the concept of the deficiency should come up at least once...).
Anybody have good recommendations for legal counsel in that area?
Also, what is the usual fee arrangement in that neck of the woods? Here if an attorney collects a retainer it's usually very small (<$300) to cover fixed expenses. He was quoted something much higher.
Thanks again!
Patrick

They are located in Phoenix so not too far from Gilbert. His said his fee is $150 for the initial consultation, then a percentage of the commission.
Hi Patrick. You can click on the "search members" tab on the black menu bar. That will take you here....
