HAP Denial - PCS Orders issue

Hello Superstars,

HAP denied a client's application due to his PCS orders were outside the September 20, 2010 window.  What can be done to salvage this, if anything?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ben - HAP had stated a few months ago that if there was funding available, applications outside their window might be considered. They have now changed this on their website to be only for PCS orders prior to 9/2010. http://hap.usace.army.mil/EP_PCS.html

You could have your seller petition congress to get more funding, but he probably should look at alternatives, such as renting out his property or short sale.

Thanks Wendy and basically HAP will cover the shortage.  Since the seller does not qualify for HAP just pursue a typical short sale?  Is that correct?

Ben - Yes, if the seller cannot qualify for HAP, just do a regular short sale...  Let me know if you have any more questions.
