GC Services Limited Partnership (Collection Agency Division)

Does anyone have experience with this group?  This happens to be a Chase HELOC that I have been working on for 14 months, BOAC has the first.  The file started in Chase Short Sale and at 6 months went to Chase collections, after about another 6 months it went to PRS (Outside Collection for Chase) and was now recently transferred to GC Services.

Last Wednesday was the first contact with GC, notified them we were trying to get a Short Sale done for this borrower and what could we do to facilitate this as they just got the file from Chase.  They were professional, communicative etc and transferred me to the Short Sale Dept. which identified the documents they would need (standard Short Sale Package), gave me special email for inbound docs with file # etc.  Short Sale Dept stated they will be working Friday and Saturday so get them (her) the file and she will get right on it and get us an answer.  Perfect, got another HUD, updated seller docs etc and Friday am emailed everything off to GC.

Friday afternoon, Saturday and now every day since I call, go straight to voice mail for the two contacts I was given, leave messages and no response?

Anyone have contacts or suggestions for GC, supposedly I was talking to a group in Oklahoma City?

Trustee Sale (BOAC) and BK are fast approaching for this file.

I don't. Do us a favor and start a group for this company. Put in all the info yo have and add to it as yo get it. That way it will be easy for our other members once they have to deal with them. Thanks
Doug - I have worked with GC. It was a brutal experience. Just wait until they start their demands... They will, and it won't be pretty.

Thanks Bryant and Wendy

I will create a group and Wendy this one won't drag out very long as the seller is about ready to file chapter 7 and at that point Chase will be wiped out. Unfortunate, at one point Chase was offered $20,000 on a $96K HELOC and held out for more. Chase is going to get $0 once the seller files BK and then lets it foreclose, really not the best for anybody except the BK attorney, however the seller is running out of options.

Some Short Sale files work and a few don't no matter how hard we work on them!!
By the way, if they try to reduce your commission, to add to their net, they are bluffing you.

Hey, Doug,

I dealt with them three years ago when one of my clients was in foreclosure. Because I was told it had been assigned to GC, I didn't do any more research on this company before sending them the short sale package, my short sale package gave them all the information they needed on this client so that she started receiving harrassing phone calls day and night from these supposed "professionals". It made for a very strained relationship between me and my client (for which I have no defense - but it taught me a great lesson). She finally had her attorney file a cease and desist with the court, they didn't show up for the hearing, she got the cease and desist order from the court and had it served on them, and that was the last she ever heard from them. They didn't have an assignment, and there was nothing recorded against her property, except the original first mortgage, which was released with the closing of the short sale.

Their phone numbers are all over the net. They're a scumbag collection outfit, with numerous lawsuits pending against them. I don't know why Chase would deal with them. Before I sent them anything else concerning my client's personal information, I would want to see a copy of their recorded assignment, giving them the right to receive it. These are not nice people.

Don't know if this is the same GC Services, but I have recently heard that Chase is resorting to collection agency activities in order to try to resolve some of its outstanding balances.

Good luck to you,
Tracy Howard

Hi Doug,

Has this situation been resolved on your end? It's kinda the same situation but the collector from GC is fairly easy to get in touch with but the sale date is fast approaching and i still don't have an approval from them. Any insight would be helpful.
