My FHA short sale Phase 2 negotiator didn't return calls or emails for 3 weeks. I called the escalation team, his supervisor, the short sale dept, etc. I asked the escalation guy for the FHA case #. He pretended not to have it until I pressed him then he gave it to me. Then I said if I don't have my negotiator or his mgr call me within 24 hours I'm going straight to FHA. Guess what he called me an hour later. How many hours/days/weeks do I have to spend getting someone, anyone to do something? The negotiator says "oh they fired everyone and took away overtime, I am working on 3 year old files right now." Yeah, right...just like I believe "our system is down, call back".

The only way I've been able to get my BOA FHA files to move is to constatly contact the social media team through twitter. It is the most aggrivating process on the planet! Elizabeth, I think you may be onto something with your theory:)
You'd love dealing with Wells. Changed negotiators 3 times in 4 weeks (purposely, I speculate). All while myself and my agent are repeatedly sending required documentation in WEEKLY trying to close on an accepted offer for the FHA appraisal amount. Each time, they say that negotiator is no longer there, send docs to this new negotiator Comes down to 48 hours before foreclosure date and another new negotiator!!!! Send in docs again, along with an emergency request to postpone sheriff's sale. Suddenly, the same electronic PDF's they have been getting for 18 months that were fine before every time, are unreadable! Postponement denied based on illegible documents. Home sold back to Wells at sheriff sale. Short sale dead. Reapply for ATP in redemption period.
I've said the same thing over and over. What did these negotiators at Bank of America do that was soooooo bad that B of A banished them to work on FHA short sales? Did they not clean the toilets well enough? Were they lured away from a prison mail room?

OMG this is too funny! Thanks for the laugh....and thanks to everyone else for their feedback on this. I am still battling the Phase 2 negotiator, but the threats to report to HUD worked. He now calls me every day :)
BofA FHA PFS are the worse. It's like pulling teeth to get a response. I have my sellers contact HUD direct after 30 days. They usually get assigned a case manager and have a direct number to contact them. Then when needed I just reach out to the seller and let them escalate to HUD. It seems to move things along a little quicker.
Sounds all too familiar...did just finally get my approval letter though...what a nightmare and time waster it was. Now we will see how the closing process goes.
im stuck in the same rut ... i had the negotiator ask me for an offer, and i get one 3 weeks later and send it to her and i have sent 10 emails to her, 3 to her supervisor, made 3 calls and still no response!
This is a year old file that has been sold 3 times.

Where do the sellers need to call?
