I am looking to review the Arm's Length Affadavit from HSBC. It is impossible to get through to them to obtain one -- anyone closed with them that would have a copy of theirs in your file? Would be super helpful!
Thanks!

I just went back into the file, & no where in my back-ups can I find a specific HSBC Arms Length Affidavit; solely the Closing Instructions / Short sale Agreement, which came out of Brandon Florida, & was sent directly to my escrow officer, & had to be notarized.
I do remember that they were actually very cooperative on this transaction on a 6 year old house that had heavy wear & extensive deferred maintenance, & they gave a couple extensions in order to close with an FHA buyer who did a lot of repairs prior to his appraisal signing off.
HSBC ended up netting about .35 on the dollar owed.
Permalink Reply by RoJane Maybee on January 9, 2012 at 9:40am Thank you for your comment -- that is encouraging, as many have stated that they were awful to work with! It is my daughter's condo, that is why I was asking about the arm's length, as I would like to list it and wanted to read the Arm's Length prior.
Thanks!

Permalink Reply by RoJane Maybee on January 9, 2012 at 9:40am That would be terrific -- and anything you have to offer regarding working with them would be great -- did you have a first only?
Thank you!
Permalink Reply by Jessica Eisenhauer on January 13, 2012 at 11:13pm We had a 1st with HSBC and a 2nd with Greentree and we didn't have to sign one
I closed with them before they didn't have us sign one. Perhaps new policy now. And come to think of it..I just remember that HSBC now makes my list of one of the worst to work with, not Aurora.
Permalink Reply by RoJane Maybee on January 9, 2012 at 9:40am Oh dear -- not good news ! What was so awful in working with them?

Permalink Reply by Jessica Eisenhauer on January 13, 2012 at 11:12pm We closed one with HSBC yesterday and there was no arms length affidavit. Hope that helps... Sorry it took me a bit to respond.
Permalink Reply by Susan Walski on January 15, 2012 at 9:00am I've done 2 with HSBC. They were a pleasure to work with. Let me know if you get affidavit. Sounds like you have a few people here looking for you.
